books that go bump in the night

A great list here from the CBC of Canadian thrillers and assorted pulse-quickeners, pegged to Halloween but perfect for all the long, dark nights of winter.

Oh, and it happens to mention a certain book about memory wiped criminals in Texas.

It also includes another dozen recommended reads, from authors of note like Andrew Pyper, Nick Cutter, Sheena Kamal and Roz Nay. Some of these books I have read and can recommend and some of which I will be tracking down soon to keep me company on a long winter's eve.
